The San Diego Open is organized by Youth Tennis San Diego (YTSD), a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to empowering youth through tennis. YTSD's mission is to provide a comprehensive development pathway for children, offering physical, mental, emotional, educational, and social platforms that enable them to thrive both on and off the court. Through its initiatives, YTSD fosters growth, resilience, and community engagement, ensuring that tennis serves as a vehicle for positive change in young lives.
We host these tournaments at our facility, the Barnes Tennis Center, with the goal of inspiring youth in our community to dream big and strive to reach the level of professional players. To make the sport more accessible and encourage the next generation, we offered free admission for youth under 18 at the 2025 tournament! This initiative reflects our commitment to creating opportunities for young fans to experience the excitement of professional tennis and be motivated by the athletes they admire.
