Did you know the San Diego Open is run by a nonprofit? Youth Tennis San Diego (YTSD), a 501(c)(3) organization, proudly owns and operates both the San Diego Open and the Barnes Tennis Center.

For us, this tournament is more than just a competition—it’s a platform for youth to dream, grow, and thrive. Through tennis, we provide more than a sport; we create a safe space for physical, mental, emotional, educational, and social development.

The San Diego Open shows our youth what’s possible. It’s a beacon of hope, proving that with hard work and support, they can achieve their dreams. That’s why we’re committed to breaking down barriers by offering free rackets, coaching, court access, and more to kids in our community.

In 2025, we took a big step by making the San Diego Open free for all youth under 18, opening doors for our community to dream big—together.
