SEBASTIAN KORDA ACCEPTS SINGLES WILD CARD TO 2026 BETTER BUZZ COFFEE SAN DIEGO OPEN
SAN DIEGO – (January 20, 2026) – American tennis star Sebastian Korda, who has been ranked as high as No. 15 in the ATP singles rankings, has accepted a singles wild card to play in next week’s Better Buzz Coffee San Diego Open.
The professional tennis tournament which features a 100-level men’s ATP Challenger and a women’s 100-level International Tennis Federation World Tennis Tour event, will be played Monday, January 26 through Sunday, February 1, 2026 at Barnes Tennis Center 4490 W. Point Loma Blvd., San Diego, CA, 92107.
The 25-year-old Korda, a native of Bradenton, Fla., is ranked No. 53 in the current ATP singles rankings. He achieved his career-high No. 15 ranking in August, 2024. Korda has captured two ATP singles titles since turning professional in 2018. His father Petr is a former No. 2 player in the world and his mother Regina was a Top 30 player on the WTA Tour.
Korda was an Australian Open quarter-finalist in 2023. He also reached the fourth round at Roland Garros in 2020 and Wimbledon in 2021. For additional information on Korda, click here.

Tournament officials also announced that San Diego-based Better Buzz Coffee Company has renewed their Title Sponsorship. The tournament will now be known as The Better Buzz Coffee San Diego Open.
Matches will begin at 10 a.m., Monday, January 26 through Friday, January 30, and at Noon on Saturday, January 31 and Sunday, February 1. Gates at Barnes Tennis Center will open one hour before the first match each day.

Qualifying matches will highlight Opening Day of the tournament on Monday, January 26. There will be free admission on that day for all fans in attendance. All Youth 17 & under will receive free General Admission Grounds Access from Tuesday, January 27 through Saturday, January 31 with a ticketed adult.
The men’s ATP Challenger will feature a 32-player men’s singles draw and a 16-team men’s doubles draw, along with a 24-player men’s qualifying singles draw. Singles and doubles champions will receive 100 ATP ranking points.
The ITF women’s 100 tournament will feature a 32-player women’s singles draw and a 16-team women’s doubles draw, along with a 24-player women’s qualifying singles draw. Singles and doubles champions will receive 100 WTA Ranking points.
